I grew up in a family that cherished portraits and was immersed in stories tied to the images on our walls. I still remember my grandmother's laughter when she pointed to a professional photo of her holding me at just one year old. With a big smile, I had her beautiful turquoise necklace in my hands, and she fondly reminisced about how much I loved chewing on it. Her twinkling eyes told me that her love for me outweighed any cherished jewelry or formal photo expectations. Later, she left her necklace to me when she passed away. The image of the two of us carries a truth more precious to me than the gems – it is a visual representation of her unconditional love.
